This policy applies to the Hide Sponsored for mobile.de Chrome extension.
The short version
1. What data we collect
We collect no personal data. The extension stores a single boolean value — your on/off toggle preference — in chrome.storage.local. This data:
- Lives only in your browser on your device
- Is never transmitted to any server
- Is never accessible to us or any third party
- Can be deleted at any time by removing the extension
2. How the extension works
When you visit a mobile.de search page, the extension reads the page DOM in your browser to identify elements with the data-testid="sponsored-badge" attribute. It then applies a CSS rule to hide the parent listing card.
This process happens entirely inside your browser. No information about the page, your searches, or the listings you view is ever sent anywhere.
3. Third-party services
The extension uses no third-party services of any kind — no analytics platforms, no crash reporting, no advertising networks, no CDNs, no external APIs.
4. Permissions we request
The extension requests the following permissions and only these:
- storage — to save your on/off preference locally in your browser.
- Host permission for *.mobile.de/* — to allow the content script to run on mobile.de pages and hide sponsored listings.
No other permissions are requested or used.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties — because we do not have any user data to share.
6. Children's privacy
This extension does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
